The Principality of Harondor
harondor_symbol.gif

DIFFICULTY FACTOR: LAUGHING AT LIVE DRAGONS

CULTURE (SUBCULTURES): Haradrian (cityfolk, plainsfolk)

CHIEF CITIES: Râd Harnen

Lying between Gondor and Harad, and claimed by both peoples, the lands of Harondor have never known much stability and peace. During the Fourth Age the Haradrim in Harondor grew more numerous, though also more influenced by Gondorians – many of whom acted as their governors.
With the division between Harad and the Reunited Kingdom resurfacing after so many years, the people of Harondor – bereft of both Reunited Kingdom overlords and Imperial masters – declared independence and established the Principality of Harondor. The people of the Principality of Harondor are Haradrian in culture.

STRENGTHS: Good trade.

WEAKNESSES: Small number of provinces at game start. Weak infrastructure. Poor armour. Poor morale.

GAMEPLAY TIPS: Sandwiched between Gondor and Harad, the Principality will need to pour all of its resources into defending its northern and southern borders whilst also protecting the west coast with its fleet. Taking and defending Tolfalas should be an early objective. If Harondor is overrun then sailing an army to pastures new might be a final resort.
